Laughing On My Way Out

I did life —
and it did me.

I’ve now become undone.

Don’t cry because I’m gone.
I was laughing on my way out.

Bye bye mundane routines.
Hello hi, new frontier.

Death awaits:
A nonexistence.
A non-caring.
A forever restful sleep.

Don’t weep for me —
I’m eager to see what wonders are on the other side.

The boom of silence.
The expansiveness of nothing.

Remarkable.

I will not cling
to this meager existence of roles and titles —
of bills, politics, and disagreements.

I welcome death.
I welcome the undoing.

Howdy, new frontier.
