The Day the World Stopped Turning

A car crashed. I said,
Oh wow. How sad.

Someone was murdered. I thought,
Poor thing.

A building collapsed. I whispered,
How tragic. How could such a thing happen?

But I lifted not a finger,
moved not an inch,
and went on with my day.
